  I went in for a finger injury after the VA said they couldn't see me because of the "snow birds" (the villages VA clinic nurse's phrase). The staff was great I had a short wait time and all but the physician was condescending, and unprofessional. He was an older gentleman with white hair and glasses. He gave me a lot of conflicting advise, and was projecting his powerlifting / neck injury on to my finger and I. He kept telling me he can't walk or run with his kids, Doc it's a finger. He was really good at making me feel like I’m just a stupid veteran and he's a "board certified physician". There is no merit in being a board certified physician when you conduct yourself in such a manner. I’ve had my fair share of life changing injuries and surgeries but I don't project them on to other people, I got over it. So if the VA is too busy to treat you because of “snow birds”, don’t go here. He may project his powerlifting mistakes and regrets on you as well.
