  We are new to the Villages and I asked to speak to Ms. Wise the Agent on three different calls. Each time the person answering the phone screened me heavily and wanted me to deal with one of their agents.
  
  I was trying to get a competitive homeowners quote and a quote for both of our autos. When you can't get the Agent on the phone, I view that as an indication of how difficult they will be to work with them in the future. The Allstate agency took my call right to the Agent. He and I spoke for 20 minutes. He personally took my information and is preparing a quote. We have been State Farm customers for 30 years here in Atlanta, but my call to State Farm made me know I was second class.

  We were not impressed with the representative, which started when we met to inquire about homeowner's insurance (we've been with State Farm for over 50 years). We were quoted an outrageous premium without any inspection reports taken into consideration. And the premium had to be paid well over a month in advance of the closing.
  
  I subsequently contacted another State Farm office in the area - they were much more customer oriented. The took all discounts into consideration with the premium being approximately $600 less. They only required one month's premium up front. The remainder is due when underwriting has processed the necessary paperwork.
  
  Have been in contact with the first agency to cancel what they did. About a week later, we're still waiting for a check for the premium paid. I would not recommend this agency. Glad we moved forward, hopefully making a good business decision.
